Clarkson Forge is a craft based business that works closely with its clients to produce high quality metalwork, using both traditional and modern techniques and equipment.

We have extensive experience in the production of gates, railings, balustrades, staircases and balconies as well as smaller items; hinges, fire baskets and companion sets, window door and gate furniture.

We also undertake renovation and restoration projects using traditional techniques and working to the highest standards. We have recently supplied pieces for the restoration work on Crosby Hall (once home to Richard III) in London. We offer a full design service to our clients, or we are happy to work accurately to supplied engineering drawings.

Guy Clarkson is a blacksmith with over 20 years experience. His initial training as a blacksmith was at the Royal School of Military Engineering in 1985-86 where he finished top of his course.

On leaving the army in 1990 he continued his blacksmithing education by working with renowned Master Blacksmith - E F Payne - and competing further blacksmithing courses and gaining two separate certificates from the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths for the quality of this work.

Guy started his own business Clarkson Forge in April 2004 committed to the production of bespoke quality metalwork.  Below are just a few select examples of my work, I'd be happy to discuss any aspects or design that you may require.
